A fellowship, not just an organisation.
Youth ministry in Australia needs more than content and encouragement. It needs a community willing to pray, promote and provide for the long, unglamorous work of building something that lasts. That community is the Fellowship — and you’re invited in.
Why a fellowship
A fellowship can solve what a single church cannot.
No one church can carry the cost of well-trained, long-term youth ministry on its own. That’s why most youth ministry roles stay part-time, and why good leaders keep leaving before they can build anything lasting.
The mission-agency model has always answered this. Agencies like CMS and Pioneers sustain workers no single congregation could fund alone, because a community gathers around the work to pray for it, speak for it, and fund it together. Youth Ministry Futures is that community for Australian youth ministry.
It only works with people around it. Everyone who joins the Fellowship does so within one framework: Pray, Promote, Provide. The contribution looks different depending on who you are. The commitment underneath it is the same.
How the Fellowship takes part

Pray
Interceding for young people, the churches that serve them, and the youth ministers who carry that responsibility.
Promote
Advocating within your networks for youth ministry as a vocation worth choosing and sustaining, and connecting us with people, churches, and resources that can help.
Provide
Supporting the financial base that makes the model work: funding the roles, programs, and capacity to keep good youth ministers in the field.
